LICENSE APPLICATIONS

At Temple Cloud Police Court

On behalf of Messrs. Georges Breweries, Ltd., of Bristol, Mr. F. W. Biggs made an application at Temple Cloud Police Court on Tuesday, before Messrs. J. G. Norman (in the chair), E. T. Carter, and J. H. Tovey, for the temporary transfer of the license of the Winterfield Inn, Paulton, from Mr. H. Lumber to Mr. Ernest Dando, of Paulton.

In making the application Mr. Biggs mentioned that Mr. Lumber had held the license of the Winterfield Inn continuously for the past 2l years.

The application was granted.

The Bench also granted to Mr. Clack, of the Pelican Inn, Chew Magna, an application for an occasional license to sell intoxicants in a field from 2 o'clock to 10 p.m. on the occasion of the Chew Magna Flower Show on July 29th.

A summons against a Priston farmer was dealt with, and is reported elsewhere in this issue.
