DEATH OF MR. G. SIMMONS
The passing of Mr. George Simmons, which took place at his home at the New Inn, Bloomfield, Paulton, on Wednesday last has removed from this parish a well-known and esteemed resident, and his death will be regretted by a host of friends throughout the parish of Paulton and the district.
A native of Paulton, the late Mr. George Simmons was in the employ of the Old Mills Colliery Co., Paulton, for a period of some 55 years but was obliged to retire some five years ago in consequence of failing health. For a number of years he served on the Paulton Parish Council, and he has held the license of the New Inn, Bloomfield, Paulton, and formerly the Dove Inn, Winterfield, Paulton for a continuous period of 43 years.
