DIED AT EARLY AGE OF 29
FUNERAL OF MRS. C. M. GOLLEDGE
The funeral took place at Paulton, on Saturday afternoon, of Mrs. Clara May (Cissie) Golledge, wife of Mr. Jesse Golledge, who died at the early age of 29 years. She was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith, of the Old Lottery Inn, Plummers Hill, Paulton, and was of a most amiable disposition, being well-known and highly respected throughout the village and neighbourhood.
The particularly sad circumstances associated with her death have elicited widespread sympathy for her husband and her parents. On June 22nd Mrs. Golledge gave birth to her second child, and appeared to be making progress when bronchial pneumonia supervened, and, despite every medical care and nursing attention, she gradually sank, and died at her home at 14 Victoria Terrace, Paulton, on June 30th. The husband is left with baby boy, and a little girl nearly four years of age.
