Paulton
WEDDING. On Monday an interesting wedding took place at the Holy Trinity Church, the contracting parties being George Henry, eldest son of the late Mr. George And Mrs Elizabeth Banfield, of the Blackbird Hotel, Paulton, and Lilian, youngest daughter of the late Mr. James Norris. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr. Bert Orledge, carried a beautiful bouquet, the gift of the bridegroom, as did also the bridesmaids - Miss E. Banfield, Miss E. Whiston and Miss E. Simmons. Mr. Charles Memory, of London, acted as best man. The service, which was conducted by the vicar, the Rev. Septimus Herbert, M.A., was fully choral. The wedding presents were numerous and costly, including a portmanteau from the church choir, of which the bridegroom had been a member for many years.
