George Simmons applied for the transfer of the license of the Dove Inn, Paulton, from the executors of Amanda Pow to himself. In answer to Supt. Rutherford, he stated that he intended to occupy the house himself, and the police then withdrew an objection which had been lodged against the granting of the license, and the transfer was made.
