NORTH SOMERSET LEAGUE

A meeting of the North Somerset Football League was held at the Winterfield Inn, Paulton, on Tuesday evening, Mr. C. J. Lewin (Radstock) being in the chair. Delegates from the respective clubs ware present. It was decided to play a friendly match at Radstock from the pick of the North Somerset League v. Radstock Town 1st XI on April 29th. The resignation of the Midsomer Norton Reserves was accepted, and claims amounting to 26s. 6d. against Farmborough and Paulton Rovers, and Mr. Adams, were ordered to be paid before any of the men of the said team would be eligible to play in any match of the North Somerset League. A claim of 30s. from Coleford against Farmborough Rovers was ordered to be paid, and the resignation of the latter team was accepted on the same conditions as in the above instance. The question of Farmborough playing non-registered men was considered, and a fine of 5s. was imposed with a caution. Mr. Adams called attention to the inducement held out to one of their players by the latter team, but the matter was allowed to drop. Referees were elected for matches until March 18th, and the next meeting was fixed to be held at Timsbury.
