TEMPLE CLOUD

At the petty session, on Tuesday, before Colonel Scobell (chairman), Messrs H. W. Page, J. R. Naylor, J. G. Norman and W. W. Keel

A temporary transfer of the licence of the Rose and Crown, Paulton, was granted from Herbert Shearn to Uriah Maggs.

John Sherbourne coal miner, of Camerton, was charged with being disorderly and refusing to quit the Lamb Hotel, Paulton. Mr Henderson, from the office of W. A Roberts (Bristol) prosecuted, and said that on the 12th February there had been some football at Paulton, and in the evening, after the match, defendant and others went the Lamb Hotel and were disorderly, jumping on the chairs and table, and breaking sups and glasses. When remonstrated with by Mr. Felix Carter, the licensee, he was hustled, and his hat knocked off. Defendant refused to leave when requested, and the police were called in. The defence was a denial of the whole charge. Fined £1 and costs.
